1. Volkswagen New Beetle

Beetle’s back & this time round, it is topped with newer technology, more safety features and personalization options. We’ve seen it in the movies & now we’ll see it on our roads. Volkswagen, Europe’s largest car maker, announced on Friday that its retro small car Beetle would hit Indian roads in the next few months. The original Beetle appeared on German roads exactly seven decades ago.

2. Fiat Bravo

Fiat Bravo's sleek styling and elegant interiors are inspired by the Italian tradition. 3. Fiat Grande Punto

4. Fiat Linea

5. Mahindra Ingenio CRDe

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is coming up with a new product Ingenio this year to compete against both Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera. To be built on an all-new platform, it would be equipped with latest technology and will have contemporary styling and spacious interiors. The company is likely to offer Ingenio as a hybrid option. It is expected that Ingenio will come with a variety of engine options, including the M&M’s indigenously developed common rail direct injection diesel engine. That will give Ingenio a distinct advantage with an extremely low cost of running

6. Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi is going to launch Outlander later this year. It has a steep front windscreen. There are other interesting features in the car that include huge wheel arches, a roof that arches down towards the rear and blacked-out pillars. Deep-set headlights have an aggressive look. The interiors of the car have a modern soft black and brushed aluminum look and are tastefully done.

7. Toyota Corolla Altis

Corolla with its superior design and features are fully loaded with luxurious interior. 9. New Chevrolet Tavera

General Motors India plans to bring face lifted Tavera in September. Tavera is well known in the taxi segment, let's hope that the new car can make a name in the personal car segment

10. Tata Nano

11. Hyundai i20

The automobile market of India is ever expanding, with new models being launched almost every other day. Right now, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL), amongst the largest automobile manufactures in the country, has announced its plans of wooing the customers with a new model. 16. Hyundai Santa Fe

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a compact/mid-size crossover SUV based on the Hyundai Sonata platform. It was introduced for the 2001 model year as Hyundai's first SUV, released at the same time as the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute and Pontiac Aztek. The car was a milestone in the company's restructuring program of the late 1990s because, despite receiving criticism from journalists for its obscure looks, the car was a hit with the American buyers.

17. Maruti A-Star Concept

This rising star from Maruti Suzuki will be their first ever global car to be produced out of India. With a bold design language, this A-segment 5-door hatchback is expected to be powered by an all new Euro 5-compliant 1.0L aluminium petrol engine.

19. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

The Lancer Evolution has a new 2-litre engine with 295 bhp power, exterior and interior design and is surprisingly light in weight, thanks to the aluminum engine block under the hood. There will also be a four-wheel drive (4WD) option.

20. Skoda New Superb

21. Honda Jazz

Jazz will compete with other cars in the premium hatchback segment like Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Getz. It is expected to be better in fuel economy though is likely to be priced a bit higher compared to other models of its segment. Honda is right now into manufacturing of Jazz at its new manufacturing base at Tapukara in Rajasthan. It is expected to be available for buyers in the early 2009.

22. Nissan Ultra Low Car ( ULC)

Bajaj, Renault and Nissan have partnered up to manufacture a small car that would compete with Tata Motors' Nano. The manufacturers hope to export the car to other emerging markets using Renault-Nissan’s established global sales network
