Germany tuning firm B&B Automobiltechnik has released several new performance packages for the 2010 Audi Q7 facelift. The standard Audi Q7 is nearly a perfect vehicle, whatever the exterior and interior equipments. The only area that the German automaker has left to be improved upon is what’s under the hood and B&B Automobiltechnik have all the options covered.
The range topping Q7 6.0 V12 TDI (500 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque) gets two tuning stages. The first (€2498) features revised electronics, a modified turbo (it increases boost pressure 0.2 bar), and various other upgrades. Thanks to these tweaks, the engine produces 565 hp and 1,220 Nm of torque. If that isn't powerful enough for you, the company can add a recalibrated ECU which enables the engine to turn out 595 hp and 1270 Nm of torque. The recalibrated ECU includes changes to the suction pipe, airflow and air cooling system, modifications to the unit-injector element, and modified ECU software.
For the Q7 4.2 TDI, B&B offers two tuning stages. The Stage 1 package (€1,698) boasts 375 hp and 850 Nm of torque, while the Stage 2 upgrade (€4,950) features 400 hp and 900 Nm of torque. Models equipped with the latter package can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds, before topping out at speeds above 250 km/h (155 mph).
Finally, the smallest and most fuel efficient model in the Q7 lineup, the Q7 3.0 TDI gets three tuning stages. First one is a Stage 3 package (€1,398) that produces 280 hp and 585 Nm of torque. Then is a pure "electronic performance optimization" (€1,498) with 300 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The other is a hardcore €3,950 package which produces 325 hp and 640 Nm of torque.
Besides, B&B offers special B&B alloy wheels for the Audi Q7 (available in 20, 22 and 23 inches), a sport suspension (€985) that lowers the ride height by up to 50mm, and aerodinamyc package (€3,498) including front and rear skirt, fender enlargements and roof spoiler.
